Freedom & Hope

For anyone with an interest in prisons, prisoners and prisoners’ families, in particular, chaplains, staff, probation officers, medical and educational staff, visitors, families and supportive parishioners.

Topics  Repentance and forgiveness in Scripture; repentance, forgiveness and Restorative Justice;

the work of the Cenacolo Community; the meaning of forgiveness.

 ‘I was in prison and you visited me.’ 76,000 people are held in over 140 prisons in England and Wales. They are among the most neglected groups in our society, and the work of those Christians who contribute to making prisons a more humane place is invaluable.

We aim to offer a space to all those involved with prisons, prisoners and prisoners’ families to pray and reflect on this work for education, renewal and mutual support.
