Reflections
How do we pass on our wisdom about facing sickness and caring for the sick from one generation to the next?

This weekend retreat is for anyone who wants to reflect on these issues.

It is open to healthcare professionals, chaplains and volunteers, and also to anyone caring for sick family or friends, or who faces or who has faced illness in their own lives.

What can you expect?

  • Shared meals and comfortable rooms
  • Mass and sung Prayer of the Church with the community
  • Talks and space for reflection
  • Plenty of time for personal prayer
  • Option of meals in silence
  • Beautiful gardens and countryside

The retreat will be led by:

Fr Dixie Taylor, a Salford diocesan priest, who has taught Scripture and theology in many countries, and is resident at Boarbank Hall.

Sr Margaret Atkins, an Augustinian Sister of the Boarbank Community, and a former university lecturer and regular writer with a special interest in ethics.

and more speaker information will be available nearer the time.

Suggested donations:

For those with regular income: £130

For those on low income: Donation as you can afford
