STOP PRESS (Oct 2022)- Our Nursing Home has been re-accredited for the Gold Standards Framework

We are delighted and proud to announce that Boarbank Hall has been awarded The Gold Standard Framework Award at Platinum level.

This nationally recognised award acts as a kite-mark for quality in caring for people nearing the end of life.
The Gold Standard Framework recognises Boarbank Hall’s long-term commitment to embedding quality care for individuals, ensuring their wishes are met and they live well until they die. It inspires us to deliver compassionate, personalised and proactive care, in the place and manner of the residents choosing.

The Platinum status recognises the sustained practice to maintain the Gold Standard Framework since first being awarded the standard in 2019. We will hold this award for the next three years and, in the process, will continue to embed the Gold Standard Framework ethos into everyday practices, enabling and empowering the team to continue to provide a platinum standard of care for all people nearing the end of life.

 CONGRATULATIONS to the Kitchen staff in the Main Kitchen and in the Nursing Home for a 5* hygiene rating after the recent unannounced inspection.

We also have the Cardiac Smart Award!

This is to show we have a defibrilator and,
very importantly, staff trained in CPR and defibrilation.

Just another string to our bow,
and another way to improve our service to all who use our facility.

This is a potential benefit to everyone who uses our building,
and well done to all our staff for their dedication.

We have adopted the Six Steps to Success programme as a strategy for end of life care.

This programme is a North West based training initiative
designed to ensure a consistently high standard of training across the care and nursing home sectors

Boarbank Hall is registered with the Care Quality Commission 

and they inspect us regularly with both announced and unannounced visits.
