Advent

We would love to welcome you all back, but still have to be careful. If you were thinking of staying please note we have a few requirements to ensure everyone stays safe...

We are pleased to say that the Guest House remains open. We are taking relatively small numbers of guests,  who are fully vaccinated.

We have a few rules still in place about testing and mask-wearing, to keep everyone safe.

Sr Marian will give you the details when you book and we recommend phoning to acquaint yourself with the latest situation.

If you come as a group, you are welcome to share a table. At present we are not putting guests to eat together who have not chosen to come as a group.

We very much look forward to seeing you again - we have missed you!

As before, we are open gently...

We thank you in anticipation for your co-operation in helping to keep everyone as safe as possible.

Just to remind you of the conditions still in force...

  • We will be offering 3 rooms at any one time -at least one of which will be a twin or double
  • We ask that you do not travel by public transport
  • Please wear your own mask when around other people
  • If you wish to access the Chapel during your stay you will need to be able to safely use steps outside from the Fire Exit on the corridor in Boarbank - there will be no internal access via the Nursing Home or Terrace at all.
  • If we have an outbreak you will be expected to leave immediately please.
  • Please do not arrive if you have been to a hospital for any reason within 2 weeks of your stay - please let us know
  • Please comply with any current Governmental regulations regarding movement and travel

If you are still reading and still interested we will be very pleased to hear from you.

Please CONTACT US for reservations and information.

It is, as always, a great encouragement and source of comfort to us to know that we are being thought about, prayed for and supported in practical ways.

We assure you that all families, friends and benefactors are in our thoughts and prayers each day.
We all remain safe and well and hope and pray that you do too.

May the Lord bless you all abundantly as only He can.

With our love

Sr Eileen and the Sisters

Once again, we would like to say an enormous and heartfelt thank you to all our staff, who have worked so hard, and taken such great personal care, to ensure that we have all stayed safe and well so far - thanks be to God. Their team spirit has been wonderful, under very difficult circumstances.

We have been taking advantage of lockdown to make the place look as nice as possible when you able to return - Derek has been busy repainting, and the gardeners have been replanting the beds. The Sisters have been sorting out the archives and tidying rooms that haven’t been sorted out for some time. One of us has even emptied her email inbox!

We are able to organise visitors to the Nursing Home in the Greenhouse and the Nook, and we have built an outside Log Cabin as a Visitor Centre for the Nursing Home, which will make visits by family and friends much easier and more comfortable. The general arrangements for visiting remain the same. Rapid tests have arrived for visitors and these will be used for residents who are not able to go out to the Log Cabin, and to facilitate End-of-Life Care Visits in the Nursing Home.
