Our food is homely and wholesome, made from locally sourced produce wherever possible, and our kitchen has a wide experience of different dietary reqirements.

We are delighted to assist in complying with these requirements, but please let us know in advance, if they apply to you eg. We can provide gluten free for coeliacs or low sugar for diabetics. We understand that you can be apprehensive about going away from home when you are not certain of the food ingredients used in the meals. Also our kitchen has been awarded 5* for food hygiene.

A recent guest has sent us a personal account:

"As regular visitors to Boarbank Hall it is possible to say that guests, who are forced to eat Gluten Free can have the greatest confidence in dining there.  One has only to inform the Staff, when registering, and can have complete faith in the trouble taken, both by ‘Kitchen’ and ‘Dining Room' Staff. Coeliacs can relax as the Staff are totally commited to providing safe eating for you."

The Guest House does not have any special medical facilities except for disabled access to certain rooms and facilities. Please tell us about any requirements you may have before you arrive so we can advise accordingly.

Please do not hesitate to ask for any further details you may require.

The Guest House, while connected to the Nursing Home in building terms, does not have any special medical facilities except for disabled access to certain rooms and facilities, but it is a lovely place to stay if you have a loved one in our Nursing Home, so you can be near and visit whenever you like.
