Location
Boarbank Hall is beautifully situated in the south of Cumbria, near the village of Allithwaite, just a few miles from Grange-over-Sands. It faces south, overlooking Humphrey Head and the wide expanse of Morecambe Bay, while to the north is the beautiful region of the Lake District.
Things to do
Many people visit the area for the wonderful hill-walking in and around the Lake District. The surrounding area has many other opportunities for leisurely pursuits - walking, photography, wild life and painting - even parachuting at nearby Cark Airfield.
Local attractions include Grange itself with its shops, promenade and park; the ancient village of Cartmel with its twelfth century Augustinian Priory, race course, and "Sticky Toffee Pudding" Village Shop; and the stately home of Holker Hall.
