By popular demand...
Our very popular week for anyone interested in birds...
HAVE A LOOK at the birds we identified in past events
We’ve had a lot of visitors to the Guest House who are interested in sharing our life of prayer, and especially from beginners who want to learn.
Quite a few are just starting to be interested in birds and would like to find out more.
Our May birdwatching event began in 2017 as a response to the many visitors to our Guest House who were interested in finding out more.
It has proved very popular in its first two years, and we hope we have taught quite a few people the joys of listening to birdsong as well as looking at birds!
Previous years' trips included Leighton Moss, Humphrey Head, Foulney Island, Walney Island and Hay Bridge, and we saw altogether over 100 species - for the full list CLICK HERE.
This year the group will again be guided by Dr Margaret Phillips, an experienced and well travelled birdwatcher. Sr Margaret Atkins will assist her and provide some theological and cultural contributions to the week.
Open to beginners and experienced birdwatchers alike -
we will share our expertise, together with a mix of shared prayer, fresh air, a modicum of exercise, good food and good company.
How could you resist?
Talks, events and trips will include:
Birdsong for beginners
The praise of creation
