Is caring for others part of your daily routine? Maybe you are a healthcare professional, social worker, or teacher? 

Maybe you care for a sick member of the family or friend? Maybe you just spend a lot of your time supporting others in need? This weekend aims at giving you some breathing space for yourself – time to rest, reflect, pray and enjoy the company of others, in our beautiful Guest House in Cumbria.

What can you expect?

• Mass and sung Prayer of the Church with the community
• Space for reflection
• Plenty of time for personal prayer
• Beautiful gardens and countryside

The retreat will be led by:

Sr Margaret Atkins, an Augustinian Sister of the Boarbank Community, and a former university lecturer and has a long-standing interest in the ethics of healthcare.

and Fr Richard Taylor, a resident priest at Boarbank.

There will also be plenty of time for private and shared prayer (Mass and sung Prayer of the Church with the Community) and for exploring our lovely gardens and local area.

How much? Our standard Guest House fee is £80 per day (three hot meals included). You may if you wish add a donation for the course as you are able.
