BY CAR:

If travelling from the North or South, leave the M6 at Junction 36 and take the A590 signposted “Barrow-in-Furness.”

If travelling from the East along the A65, continue onto the A590 signposted “Barrow-in-Furness”.

After about 3 miles, take the exit to the left, still signposted A590. After a further 8 miles, at the roundabout turn left onto the B5277 to Grange. After 4 more miles you will come to the centre of Grange-over-Sands. Go through the town, taking the first turning (slightly left) at the mini-roundabout, and then continue out of town on the B5277. In 2 more miles you will come to the village of Allithwaite. At a sharp 90º left hand turn (the previous site of the Yakkers” Public House), turn right. After 200 yards, turn left into Vicarage Lane, which is also signposted “Boarbank”. Continue into Boarbank Lane. At the T-junction at the end, turn left and immediately right, and Boarbank Hall is a further 300 yards ahead up the hill.
